PREVIOUS BUSINESSES OWNED & OPERATED BY WILL MOORE
Acorn Enterprises International, Inc. Washington, D. C.
A dot-com start-up which evolved into a computer consulting and service company.
Established in 1995 just prior to the Internet "Gold Rush" by Mr. Moore, its president and sole stockholder.
Began by creating websites. The first company in U. S. A., and almost certainly in the world, to put radio programs on a website -- in 1996, for Ellen Ratner, well-known national talk-show hostess. (Last time we looked, it was still on - see our AEI reference page.)
Branched out into computer troubleshooting, networking, programming, training, and cabling. Company motto headlined in all ads was: "We solve computer problems."
Beginning in 1997, supplied programmers to companies in northeastern U. S. A. for the Y2K re-programming effort leading up to Dec. 31, 1999.
Within five years the company served more than 600 customers, including billion-dollar corporations MCI and TRW, prestigious organizations such as Veteran of Foreign Wars and U. S. government departments such as Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
Company sold to its chief programmer in January, 2000.
